Görev Holding Corp. was established in 2017. Our holding company is wholly owned by Görev Foundation (Communication Volunteers and Officials Foundation). Our mission is to develop economic relations with countries around the world, primarily in the Eurasian region.
We have long-standing trade relations with the Russian Federation, one of our country's most important economic partners.
In 2019, we signed a cooperation agreement with the Central Russian Investment Council (CRIC), which is affiliated with the Russian Presidential Administration. We are the sole representative of CRIC in Turkey.
An economic cooperation agreement between the Republic of Karelia and our Holding was signed in 2022 in a special ceremony held in the capital Petrozavodsk, between the President of the Republic of Karelia, Mr. Artur Parfenchikov, and our Chairman of the Board, Mr. Tugay Şen.
Together with our effective and reputable Russian partners, we supply various products needed by our country and third countries, primarily refinery products. Furthermore, we regularly supply Russia with a high-quality consumable used in the healthcare sector. Our goal is to become the local market leader in this product group in Russia.
We recognized the economic development and business opportunities in the African continent a long time ago. We have been in Algeria since 2004. Our journey in Africa, which began with fresh fruit exports, continues today as a company with an international contracting license, included in the "shortlist" created by the Algerian government for its one million housing construction program. Meanwhile, we have successfully completed the renovation of three hotels belonging to the Algerian Tourism Directorate.
We have partnered with many well-known foreign companies specializing in infrastructure and superstructure works. Currently, we are part of a Chinese-Turkish-Algerian partnership that is the contractor for an oxygen plant to be built in a state-owned iron and steel complex in Algeria. Additionally, we have started a new investment for the production of snack foods.
Now, Algeria has become key to our growth in the African continent. Our companies with Algerian company status continue their local operations. We will complete our snack food investment in 2026. This will pave the way for our access to the African Continental Free Trade Market.
Since the mid-1990s, we have been conducting commercial activities through our companies in China. Our experience has allowed us to foresee China's current situation decades in advance. We continue our activities aimed at increasing Turkey's exports to China, as well as working on the procurement of products needed by our country and third countries from China. We carry out these activities through our company in Beijing and our office in Shanghai.
In Turkey, we are currently developing new construction projects to add to those we have completed in Izmir and Aydın in the past.
We have been operating a boutique hotel called Ütopya Mercan Otel in Izmir for twenty years.
Insurance is another sector in which we have been active for some time and which we are trying to develop.
